Oddbins Byres Road: today, 5 thiddy.

£1.89, or £18.99 for 12, except they only had 1 bottle in...oh well. new stock might be wednesday....so i'm guessing they might be stocking it now? we'll see.

It's been a while...

Been stateside, tasting some amazing beers from east (dogfish head 90 minute IPA a favourite) to colorado (durango and ska breweries offering excelent pale and amber ales).

In 3 weeks i had 1 pint of SN PA - always good from the tap.

Couple of things to see:

Dooyoo has prices, availability advice from on-line reviewers. Useful.

Beerhere offers on-line shopping. No excuse if you are in the boonies.

Go. Drink. Report back.

Hectors.

So Hector's in Stockbridge Edinburgh has SNPA on tap. £4 a pint, but it is a pint, not a bottle poured. Taste is all there, and the scenery ain't so bad.

Also from our mid UK correspondant, jenn, we have information about the Stapleton Arms.

"Tiny village, arse end of nowhere (not the pretty bit of Dorset), odd proliferation of Porsches. And SN and Anchor Steam on tap. At £6.00 a pint or something!"

Purpose

So the purpose of this blog is to keep track of Sierra Nevada brewing's availability in the UK. Primarily Scotland, but i will certainly add info if i get it for the rest of the island.

I think most aficionados are aware that Tesco supermarkets stock Sierra Nevada pale ale. In terms of off licences, i have had summerfest, porter and as of last friday pale ale from Oddbins. The prices are reasonable as well, at about £1.60 a bottle.

Lupe Pintos (edinburgh and glasgow) frequently stock pale ale, if i havent bought it all, and The Cave in glasgow also has pale ale, but the cost is quite a bit more, £1.99 the last time i was in.

If anyone has any beta, fire it my way.
