stormy weather

ok. this is my first time so be gentle with me.....
for those of us banished to the dirty streets of london there has to be an advantage, a silver lining to this infernal black cloud that we live in. perhaps this could be it...
www.utobeer.co.uk
well would be if the website was working! the stall at borough market has quite the selection of beers from around the universe including a range of SN's finest - pale most of the time plus stout, porter and some of the seasonals. sorry i didn't get prices, was dazzled by the selection.
am very excited to see they have a bar too - will investigate soon.
oddbins round the corner at london bridge, and another on upper st, islington, had some PA chilling in the fridge for a cool £1.89 a pop(sicle)...ah the dark cloud of london prices.
but thro the darkness comes.....www.theislandqueenislington.co.uk
SNPA on tap! tap. yes. a big pint of pale. and in a lovely pub too, even my dad liked it. actually he loved it (mainly because of his pint of doombar which he described as one of the best pints ever! and he's had a few in his time).
so there it is.
first post.
the search continues...

South East Born

OK, bottom-right corner, one across... Waitrose in Eastbourne has some at £1.56 a bottle. No offers to report. It’s a bad shop but for the sake of some hypocritical alco-scape via a very fine tipple I do check Tesco’s occasionally to see if they’re repeating the £1.15 offer they have had in the past - nothing at the moment. Asda is a little too far away. I'll do what I can to report in any developments. The best I think they’ll be for now is a ‘5 for 4’ or ‘4 for 3’ offer on beer. I did think there was one on-going but beer-googling gets me fucking nothing. Often the case.

Wait......wait!

Waitrose opens. Byres road, and as Hamish mentioned SNPA is on the shelves at an astonishing £1.56. Cheaper than tescos folks! I'm drinking one now! Salut!

Can confirm Pale Ale in ASDA Clydebank @ £1.59 a whip. At that price it isnae gonnae leap of the shelves down yonder way but, hopefully, enough of a turnover for them to continue stocking it. I'll man up and do my bit... Now, have heard that Waitrose have now opened on the Byres Rd; will it be fancy dan enough for them/ Reports suggest all manner of fresh fruit, local cheeses and all such nonsense but will need to mystery shop and report back on SN...

standyby::east reporting::standby

Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt our program of dance music to bring you a special bulletin from the Intercontinental Radio News. At twenty minutes before eight, central time, Professor Farrell of the Mount Jennings Observatory, Cockenzie, reports observing several explosions of incandescent beer, occurring at regular intervals on the planet Mars. The spectroscope indicates the beer to be SNPA and moving towards the east of Scotland with enormous velocity.

Professor Pierson of the Observatory at Prestonpans confirms Farrell's observation, and describes the phenomenon as (quote) like a jet of green flame shot from a gun (unquote).

The beer appears to have landed at Cornelius at the top of Easter Road in Edinburgh. The projectile landed from the west and spun south towards the selection of fine bottled beers by the fridges. Professor Farrell reports that final price at the time is unconfirmed, possibly in the £1.56-£1.59 range. He hopes to have his Howmuchisthat-o-graph properly calibrated this weekend.

We now return you to the music of Ramón Raquello, playing for you in the Meridian Room of the Park Plaza Hotel, situated in downtown New York.

Deputy Horse reporting for duty

Reporting from darkest SW Londonish:

Waitrose Esher has The fine brew in stock £1.56 a bottle

Noble Green in Hampton Hill also is a stockist although the price escapes me at the moment!

That is all for now

Cheers!

Carriage.

Yup. Looks like Oddbins are going to be stocking...the local one here had at least 4 boxes in when i popped by on the way home. A good thing.

I'm also recruiting some deputies. I'm hoping to take this baby national.
