Heresy...
If we're paying £1.99 in Oddbods for SNPA why not pop over to Peckhams and scoop some Brooklyn East India Pale Ale. Mighty fine, but, at a stonking 6.9%, you'll need your wits about ye. Feel like manning up? They also do the Porter at 10%....

beyond the pale
a busy week for SNPA watchers in london last week.
but wait.
what's this alongside the pale?
KELLERWEIS!
m+t managed a trip to the island queen (see my previous post) and enjoyed the SNPA on tap (too much doc?).
phil joined us on tuesday and after a comedy car thro puddle soaking our gang of 4 intrepid SNPA watchers needed some on tap refreshment. porterhouse on maiden lane (just off covent garden) has a huge selection of bottled beers (including SNPA) and a wide selection on tap as well - we felt obliged to try some of their own selection - TSB and brainblasta (their spelling not mine) - both tasty but not good enough to keep us from the SNPA on tap - £4.25 a pint (i'm pretty sure).
a fine effort in the continuing mission to seek out SNPA wherever it may be served...
with m+t on the way i nipped to utobeer @ borough market to stock up. after the obligatory bacon and egg bap from Maria's caf(f)e i hit the beer stall. along with SN stout and porter they only had 3 pale's, as everyone knows that's not enough to entertain dRjon for long.
PANIC!!!
but wait.
what's this alongside the pale?
KELLERWEIS!
i'll have some of those please.....yoink.
according to the SN website this is a year round production and i'm very glad about that - a tasty brew "reminiscent of ripe banana and spicy clove". yum.
